|Hopp, Meriche, Wilkins||I am looking for any descendants of Henry Wilkins, born abt 1844 in Germany, died Nov. 1921 Coral Twp. he is buried in Harmony Cemetery. I belive his wifes name was Mary who died May 1898.
Henry is listed as widowed on the 1900 census with sons: Henry b 1878
Johnny b. 1885
Marie b. 1889
Frank b. 1891
Walter b. 1894
Eddie b. 1897
I think he might have had a son named William who married an Emma Hopp. According to the 1900 census he became a citzen in 1862 at the age of 38. On the 1910 census Coral Twp, Henry is listed with son Walter, just above him in a family named John Meriche is his son Eddie who is listed as a nephew. On the 1920 Census, Henry is listed with son John Lillian Wilkins in Hampshire, Kane Co. Most of the these WILKINS were Blacksmiths. I have posted an obit lookup on another site for Henry Wilkins and a Mrs. Henry Wilkins. Belive Frank married a Hulda. Henry, the son, married a Mary. Eddie died in 1922 in a car accident. I am trying to trace what happened to John Wilkins's children: Elmer, Verna, Reubin, Ruby after he left wife Liilian for another woman. John Wilkins died in AR. Found Lillian with children on the 1930 census in DeKalb Co. My brother-in-law, who is the step-great-grandson of Henry Wilkins, is having a Wilkins-Upson reunion in June 2007 in Little Rock, AR. and his family would like to know more about the Wilkins side of the family. Thank you.
